1. Do I need to fast before my hormone test?

Fasting is not required for the Starter and Starter Plus packages. If you are booking the Advance or Elite package, please fast for at least 10 to 12 hours before your appointment. This ensures the accuracy of metabolic and lipid markers included in those packages. We recommend scheduling a morning visit.

2. Will a doctor explain my results?

Yes. All test results are reviewed by a doctor at H.U.M. Clinic. You will receive a private consultation to discuss your findings. If your results suggest a hormonal issue, your doctor may recommend further evaluation or a treatment such as testosterone replacement therapy, depending on your individual profile.

3. What is the difference between Total Testosterone and Free Testosterone?

Total testosterone measures all testosterone circulating in the blood. Free testosterone measures the portion that is biologically active and available for use by the body. Some men have a normal total testosterone level but a low free testosterone level, which can still produce symptoms. Both markers are included from the Starter Plus package onward.

4. Can I book a hormone test before deciding on treatment?

Yes. A hormone test is the recommended first step before any treatment decision. The testosterone testing at H.U.M. Clinic provides the data your doctor needs to determine whether a treatment such as TRT for andropause is appropriate based on your lab results and current symptoms.
